About Quilted Journey
Our ancestors used quilts to tell stories. They’d gather remnants, pieces, photos, illustrations, memories and hands to tell the stories of love, isolation, struggle, rage, history and family. I try to keep that in mind as a storyteller in order to bridge the pieces that make us human. We all have a story to tell, and we’re all connected by some thread. When complete, quilts reveal the map of the workings of life. That’s what I aim to stitch and that’s what this blog is about. Our quilt. Our journey.
My Journey: #storyteller1st
On this blog you will also find where I am on my journey. You’ll find my experimentation with mediums and storytelling. I have started to link to my inspirations and some of my favorite work on my Tumblr page and will feature some of those here. Continue the conversation with me on Twitter @GabiAWright to talk about Web tech, hacking and journalism…or food and museums.
